A thoughtful renovation in Austin, Texas for private clients Designed as a calm and materially expressive urban home. Selway Design Studio in collaboration with Benjamin Stelly reworked the kitchen and dining space as the heart of the home, balancing functionality with a refined, layered aesthetic. Lighting plays a defining role, with sculptural fixtures by Volker Haug, WDSTCK and Thorup Copenhagen establishing atmosphere and rhythm across the space. A rich material palette of oak, black soapstone and aged brass creates contrast and depth, with bespoke joinery and moss-green accents softening the architectural lines. Custom banquette seating frames the dining area, while integrated artwork introduces a more personal, curated dimension — a quietly expressive, enduring interior where light, material and form work together.
